The Alabaster Orb Ring Chandelier was one of the most talked-about installations this month. Installation Tips for Singapore Homes

July's installations reflect a clear theme: Singapore homeowners are increasingly drawn to fixtures that are both functional and sculptural. A few principles that guided this month's projects:

• Centre chandeliers over seating or dining areas and calibrate drop height — typically 200–210cm from floor to the bottom of the fixture for dining tables. See our pendant light height guide for exact measurements.
• For heavy fixtures like the Alabaster Orb Ring Chandelier, always assess ceiling structure and use appropriate reinforcement.
• Wall lights like the Magic Butterfly work best at eye level (approximately 150–160cm from floor) on feature walls or flanking a bed or sofa.
